Employee Spotlight

Matt Muscat – Founder & Lead Strategist

When did you create Maltese Marketing?

Maltese Marketing has been around since 2012.

What made you want to start Maltese Marketing and what are your goals for you and the company?

I started Maltese Marketing because there was a need for a marketing agency that wouldn’t lock clients into long term contracts, and who would have real people available to answer both simple and hard questions on the clients schedule. Everyone needs marketing, but the choices out there are often all the same. We started so we could serve our customers the way we would want to be served. We are currently working with 45 clients on a monthly basis and another 25 on a project based basis. We are hoping to grow to 100 monthly clients by 2021. We also want to provide fair paying jobs and a laid back culture to all of our employees and subcontractors.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in Plymouth, MI.

If you could eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I LOVE FOOD. This is an impossible question. I would say Chili fries from Leos Coney Island, and maybe some beef tartare with some Dijon mustard.

For all the book lovers out there, any good recommendations?

Best book I have read this year is Setting the Table by Danny Meyer. It focuses on extreme customer service through the lense of the restaurant world.

If the internet stopped and you couldn’t work at Maltese Marketing for a week where would you travel to?

I would take a trip to Dubai and Greece. Although if the web was down I would be nervous for how the airlines would function.

If given a chance who would you like to be for a day?

I would love to be a professional food critic for at least a couple days per year.
